The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) has quietly released two of its legends: Henry Cejudo and Mohammed Yahya. Cejudo, a former two-division champion, has been removed from the official UFC roster, marking his second retirement from the sport. This comes after a string of losses, including a recent defeat to Payton Talbott at UFC 323, where he was bloodied and defeated. Cejudo's first retirement in 2020 lasted three years before he returned in 2023, but he failed to secure a single win. Despite this, fans can still catch him in action at his upcoming RAF wrestling match against Urijah Faber. Mohammed Yahya, known as 'The UAE Warrior', was also released from the promotional roster after losing all three of his Octagon fights, with his most recent loss coming to Steven Nguyen at UFC Fight Night Abu Dhabi in July 2025. These releases highlight the ever-changing landscape of the UFC, where even the greatest fighters may not always remain on the roster.
